BPL: Match-6 Dhaka Gladiators beat Sylhet Royals by 7 wickets

Dhaka GladiatorsDHAKA: Dhaka Gladiators recorded their first victory in the Bangladesh Premier League when they defeated Sylhet Royals by seven wickets with ten balls remaining in the second match of the third day here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Sunday.

Chasing an easy target of 125, Dhaka Gladiators completed their win in the 19th over.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Anamul Haque was the main scorer with 48 while opener Imran Nazir made 26 and Mohammad Ashraful remained not out on 23.

Earlier, Sylhet Royals were bowled out for 124 runs in 19.1 overs after electing to bat first.

Naeem Islam top scored with 30 while the Gladiators captain Mashrafe Mortaza claimed two wickets for 22 runs.
