Five Patients Die of Young Doctors’ Strike Across Punjab

FAISALABAD: At least five patients died as young doctors stop work at emergency wards of public hospitals.

Details have it that in Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital four patients including a minor girl and a woman died of negligence on part of young doctors, who were busy staging a strike in the wake of a crackdown on YDA members instead of looking after the critical ones.

Whereas a baby also died in Lahore as no doctor was around to take care of it.

According to sources, young doctors serving in Faisalabad’s Civil Hospital also gave up on their duties as a protest against the apprehension of their Lahori associates.

Sources also added that owing to the absence of doctors some young patients were in critical condition in the Allied Hospital’s children’s ward.
