Gilani contempt: SC resumes PM contempt case hearing

ISLAMABAD: A seven-judge bench of the Supreme Court resumed the hearing of the contempt of court case against Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday.
During the hearing, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said that if Ahsan failed to successfully argue his client’s position by tomorrow then the premier would be charged with contempt of court.
A seven-member bench of apex court headed by Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk and comprising Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Muhammad Ather Saeed would examine the proofs submitted by the Attorney General Maulvia Anwar-ul-Haq against PM.

It is worth mentioning here that on February 16, Attorney General submitted four volumes of documentary evidence before the Supreme Court in the prime minister’s contempt of court case.
