No Increase in Salaries of Govt Employees in Budget 2013-2014

The federal cabinet on Wednesday decided not to raise the salary of government employees in the Federal Budget 2013-14. Minimum pension of retired employees raised from Rs. 3,000 to Rs 5,000Salaries increase In budget 2013-14

Islamabad (June 12th, 2013) – Federal government of Pakistan has decided not to raise the salaries of government employees in Annual Budget 2013-14.

That is why announcement was made in the speech of finance minister today evening. in National assembly.

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said: “We cannot afford to increase the salaries of government workers under the prevailing circumstances.”

Increase in Pension
Federal cabinet also decided to fix the minimum pension of retired workers at Rs 5,000. Pensioners drawing pension more than five thousands will get 10 percent increase.
