At least 10 people were killed and two others injured in a blast in passenger van in Lower Orakzai Agency of Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region, official sources said on Wednesday.
The bomb exploded in Sepoy village in Orakzai district, said senior administration official Zakir Hussain.
“It was remote-controlled bomb planted on the road. The bomb exploded near a pick-up van carrying passengers,” Hussain told.
The blast killed ten people, including two women, an 11-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl, he said, adding that four people were wounded.
Most of the victims were the passengers of the unfortunate van.
Intelligence officials confirmed the blast and the casualties.
