PCB appoints Mohammad Akram as Pakistani bowling coach

Pakistan’s cricket chiefs on Friday appointed Mohammad Akram as the national team’s bowling coach, a decision that was quickly questioned by experts.

Intikhab Alam, the head of the coaching committee, on Friday told reporters that they have signed Akram as bowling coach for one year.

“We hope that Akram will work better for Pakistan cricket as bowling coach,” he said.

Akram, who resides in UK, was right arm fast-medium bowler played in 9 Test matches and 23 One Day International matches for Pakistan between 1995–1996 and 2000-2001.
