Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Sunday announced Rs 1 million for Muhammad Mohsin, who topped Punjab University B.A exams despite working at a Tandoor in Hafizabad town of the province.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also announced to bear all the eduction expenses for Muhammad Mohsin.
Mohsin got first position by securing 688 numbers in the B.A exam.Talking to media he said that he lived in a hut and works for a Tandoor.
“I belong to a poor family and help my father earning bread and butter for the family,” the topper said adding that he struggled very hard to continue his studies.
He requested Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to give him scholarship so that he could continue his education. Mohsin said he wanted to get degree of M.A English and then Phd.
The Punjab University had announced the result of BA/BSc annual examinations 2012 on August 11. As many as 1,43,750 students appeared in the examinations out of which 57,284 candidates succeeded in the examination, leading to a pass percentage of 39.85% this year.
