Zong and Askari Bank Ltd has got engaged to launch their mobile banking services in the future after the two companies will receive a go-ahead signal by State Bank of Pakistan subsequently the partnership is inspected and approved.
Zong and Askari Bank have entered into emerging competitive market of mobile and branchless banking where already many telecom operators and banks have launched and are promoting their services rapidly among the masses.
According to details, Zong is going to bring a full-fledged branchless banking solution, to become second telecom operator after Telenor to offer a mobile banking solution of this scale and third such mobile banking implementation after Easypaisa and UBL Omni in the country.
Further details that are in that Zong yesterday took first step towards the solution by starting a pilot project. This pilot project would be followed by a full scale nationwide commercial launch in around two months.
As per sources, the pilot project will include most of the branchless banking products that Zong is going to offer, in addition to some other products such as salary disbursements.
