Colombo: India has defeated South Africa by one run in the thrilling final match of the super eight rounds of the Twenty20 World Cup 2012, here at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Instead of a thrilling win India has failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
Pakistan and Australia have qualified for the semi-finals of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2012, sending India and South Africa home.
Chasing a target of 153 runs set by India, the South African team bowled out at 151 runs. Plessis was the only successful Proteas batsmen scoring 65 runs on 38 balls. The other African players failed to capitalize on their starts and got out below 20 runs.
